The Yobe State Government has declared the graduation of 167 students who received state funding as part of a scholarship program to attend Indian institutions.
The graduates, according to Governor Mai Mala Buni through his Director-General of Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, would make a major contribution to bolstering the state’s health and other vital areas.
The 2020 scholarship program was a part of the Buni administration’s attempt to improve Yobe’s youth’s competencies in specialized subjects.
A total of 233 students were sent to study in medical laboratory science, pharmacy, radiography, physiotherapy, and optometry at different Indian universities.
