African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Chairman Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu has criticized President Bola Tinubu for the current state of the country’s economy.
While speaking with AIT, Nwosu bemoaned the fact that Nigerians are succumbing to starvation on a daily basis and emphasised that numerous cemeteries hold the bodies of Nigerians who have passed away.
Young Nigerians have been taking to the streets in protest of the country’s exorbitant living costs since August 1, and he pleaded with Tinubu to pay attention to their voices.
On behalf of the #EndBadGovernance demonstrators, Nwosu scolded Tinubu for ignoring their requests without delay.
Nwosu claims that Nigerians are being strangled by the current administration’s economic policies and urges the president to take the initiative to address the problems.
How can we address our problems? Leadership requires initiative. Take the initiative, president. The hunger problem could have been resolved with the money that has been spent on palliatives and protests if it had been directed correctly.
I hope we can be more proactive going ahead. People in Nigeria shouted up, and as a result, lives were lost. Street life is taking a toll on many. The mortuary is crowded with people. Many people are unable to pay their expenses. Thus, he argued, the president should take the Nigerian people’s demands into consideration.
