Ian Wright, an Arsenal great, has provided his thoughts on the club’s new signing Raheem Sterling.

Arsenal acquired Sterling from Chelsea on transfer deadline day.

The former Manchester City forward, who joined Arsenal on loan, was told that he was not in Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca’s plans for the season.

In response to Arsenal’s decision to sign the 29-year-old, Wright expressed confidence in Sterling’s ability to prosper there.

“I’m absolutely delighted with how the deal has worked out,” Wright remarked on the Wrighty’s House podcast.

“When you evaluate the contract, Raheem’s family does not have to relocate; he has a thing to prove, he knows the management, and there is no difficulty with rotation playing, experience, and winning.

“That is a fantastic contract for us, and a great signing for both us and him at 29. Chelsea is paying the majority of the wages. “He matches our shirt.”
