Rep. Doguwa tells his colleague Jibrin, “I am not the target of a murder investigation.”

Alhassan Doguwa, an APC representative from Kano, stated in Abuja on Thursday that he was not the subject of any pending murder charges.

In response to the murder accusation leveled against him by Rep. Abdulmumini Jibrin (NNPP-Kano), Doguwa announced that the court had thrown out the allegations and released him.

“Since today,” Doguwa stated emphatically. It is false to say that I, Doguwa, am facing charges of culpable homicide in a Nigerian court.

He went on to say that contrary to what some have said, he was not being investigated for any politically motivated violence.

I triumphantly emerged clean and innocent after enduring nearly every criminal probe and court consideration at different levels.

The Force Criminal Investigation Department, the country’s top police investigation agency, allegedly makes copies of their thorough investigations available to the public.

Outside and inside his constituency, he claimed, his political opponents had tried and failed to get him indicted for crimes he had not committed.

Just so Jibrin and his associates know, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in Kano State took action and gave me counsel that cleared my name based on the police clearance.

“The alleged criminal charges were dropped against me,” he declared.

According to Doguwa, the situation in his constituency was orchestrated in order to thwart his political ambitions.

He asserted that their goal was to prevent him from becoming House Speaker and added that aspirations for one’s life goals are not inherently evil.
