According to Mrs. Bolanle Ogunlola, Deputy Director of Public Affairs at the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, 57 commercial cars and tricycles have been seized for traffic breaches by the ministry’s Traffic Monitoring and Investigation Unit.
The automobiles and tricycles were confiscated during the unit’s extensive enforcement operation surrounding the Iyana Ipaja garage and its adjacent roads, according to a statement released by Ogunlola on Friday in Lagos.
The unit, she said, monitored incoming and outbound communications equally.
A total of 57 commercial cars and tricycles were confiscated and held for various traffic offenses committed during the exercise. These included unlawful parking, collecting passengers in unapproved areas, and obstructing traffic.
“This operation successfully alleviated the congestion caused by these violations, allowing for smooth traffic flow and guaranteeing adherence to traffic regulations,” she stated.
