The National Hajj Commission’s treatment of state pilgrims is criticized by Fintiri

When it comes to NAHCON’s operations involving state government, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has expressed his skepticism.

The governor made the claim on Thursday that, for example, during the last Hajj operations, NAHCON assigned aircraft to state Hajj contingents without offering the states an option.

Fintiri, who has previously criticized NAHCON’s management of accommodations in the holy land, made the comment while receiving a report on the state’s 2024 Hajj trip, predicting that future governors will stand up to NAHCON’s arbitrary decisions.

The State Amirul Hajj team and the administration of the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission presented the 2024 Independent Post-Hajj report to the governor in his office on Thursday.
