In order to inform the community about the funds allocated to Obi Aguocha from June 2023 to August 2024, the Nkwoachara Ward Development Union in Umuawa Alaocha Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA, Abia State, has requested the Clerk of the National Assembly to do so. Aguocha represents the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal constituency.
Chijioke Udeogu and Co Solicitors, Arbitrators, and Legal Consultants was the representative of the community that delivered the letter and demanded information of the constituency projects that the Abia Central Senatorial District had released, claiming that these projects directly impacted them.
The petitioners assert that their representative in the House, Obi, has failed to adequately represent them thus far.
Additionally, the community is seeking information regarding the budget for Senator Austin Akobundu’s current constituency, Abia Central, from June 2023 to August 2024, as well as specifics regarding any and all constituency projects that have been completed or are currently underway, along with the corresponding officially approved amounts for each.
Along with these demands, the Nkwoachara people wanted to know what social welfare packages were approved and released for the Abia Central Senatorial district during the period under review, including palliative care.
In response to the news, however, Nnaemeka Ekechukwu, the chairman of the Labour Party (LP) in the Nkwoachara Ward of Umuahia North, stated that no letter was filed against Obi Agoucha by his party.
According to him, Agoucha has been doing a great job of speaking for his people and keeping them united.
In response to the matter, Obi Agoucha’s media office issued a statement confirming that the lawmaker is aware of the rumors circulating online.
The representative’s press office claims that he has been forthright in representing his constituents and has nothing to conceal, including his resolve to secure Nnamdi Kanu’s release from prison.
However, Senator Austin Akobundu’s (PDP Abia Central) media consultant was unavailable when contacted for comment on the aforementioned letters.
