PSC advances 31 officers from ACP to DCP designations

The Police Service Commission has elevated 31 Assistant Commissioners of Police to the rank of Deputy Commissioners.

In a statement on Sunday, Ikechukwu Ani, the Head of Press and Public Relations, stated that the decision to approve and promote the senior officers was made during the initial preliminary meeting of the commission, which is chaired by DIG Hashimu Argungu.

The statement named the promoted officers from the rank of ACP to DCPs as; Godspower Origho, Area Commander, Kabba, Kogi State Command;

Abubakar Argungu Ibrahim, Coordinator BPU, Sokoto State Command; Kabiru Ibrahim, Department of Operations, Cross Rivers State Command;

Ochiabutor Ejike, Department of Operations, Enugu State Command; Danladi Ibrahim, Area Commander Kafanchan;

John Amaechi Ngwoye, Department of Operations, Ondo State Command; Sulieman Salihu, Department of Operations Bauchi State Command; Udeme Stephen, Area Commander Ngor Okpalla Imo state Command among others

Furthermore, the Commission elevated a total of 505 Superintendents of Police to the higher position of Chief Superintendents.

In addition to others, the promoted officers were identified as Raphael Iwamittigha Irowainu, Abraham Ogedegbe, Stanley Chinenye Onyekwele, Yakubu Faruk Rugga, Godspower Ekeke, and Esther Ezenwanyi Okey.

The Chairman of the Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu, commended the recently promoted Officers and expressed confidence that the Commission, under his leadership, will establish a Police Force that lives up to its noble reputation.

He exhorted the officers to manifest patriotism in their service to their country.
