Joe Igbokwe says Tinubu needs to figure out why Nigeria’s refineries aren’t functioning

Joe Igbokwe, a senior member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has asked President Bola Tinubu to investigate the malfunctioning refineries in Nigeria.

The four Nigerian refineries that had gone into slumber left Igbokwe wondering what had happened to them.

In response to Finance Minister Wale Edun’s statement that Nigeria spends $600 million per month on petroleum imports, he made the following statement.

According to Edun, the exorbitant expense of supplying neighboring countries, including those in Central Africa, forces Nigeria to spend $600 million each month on petroleum imports.

Since the nation does not have accurate data on domestic fuel consumption, the minister stated that this was a major consideration for President Bola Tinubu when he decided to eliminate the fuel subsidy.

As a response, Igbokwe wrote: “Finance Minister says Nigeria spends $600 million monthly on importation of PMS” on Facebook. I beg you, what became to our four refineries?

This must be broken if it is a jinx. It’s about time PBAT figured out why our refineries have been malfunctioning for years. Please inform us.
